I tend think it's very true on the whole. I'd also take a look from a
slightly different perpective, and say that in my experience, most
admins who move beyond the "home PC" mentality have a tendency to move
away from Windows as well. Of the people I know who I regard as
competent, while I can think of many who use Windows, I can't think of
any who use *only* Windows. This is of course an unscientific
oversimplification, but it's often surprisingly accurate.
