I had one as an early Christmas present to myself. I transferred all the
contacts from my palm no problems and the dlink wifi CF card was detected
and worked first time. I've even managed to browse in my local high street
using someone elses bandwidth!! Its also great to be able to check your
e-mail whilst watching TV to see if you have any work to do! I like the way
you can choose the visual compression on the browser so you can still see
most of a web page on the screen (even if you can't actually read most of
it!).
Most of the software I downloaded came from
http://www.killefiz.de/zaurus/
My only complaint is time the battery lasts. If you are regularly away from
the mains then look at the usb and car charger from
http://www.instantpower.co.uk/charger/pda/techcharger_pda.cfm
It even comes with a disposable battery for when you are really desperate!
Has any other owner found a decent case? The "Chairmans" one I've seen from
expansys looks a bit naff.
Andy
p.s. I see expansys are accepting advanced orders for the 5600. No price
yet. I wonder if the larger battery is compatible with the 5500?
