Possibly ettercap would be usefull here too, as it does discovery so may
pick up on the switch.
Else if you have access to the other switches and the new switch is
connected to these you may be able to do it by an rmon port or getting a
listing of all the mac addresses, then try to match these up using
ettercap. Any missing ones may be the new switches and you may be able
to activate them using rarp - (though I may be thinking of really old
print servers here...)
