The NetBSD package collection can be used on MacOS X, although I haven't
tried it myself. Note that a FreeBSD "port" is called a package in
NetBSD land, as "port" is the term used for different architectures that
Net runs on. It's also worth noting that most free BSD code that went
into MacOS X came from NetBSD *not* FreeBSD. The preference for FreeBSD
code is a fairly recent change.
