True about Linux, but IMO utterly untrue about the west. Freedom to exploit 
everyone else, prop up juntas and bomb the crap out of them when they won't 
bend over and give away their resources (oil, workforce, diamonds) for next 
to nothing according to ridiculous WTO rules, perhaps.
