[Gllug] Getting Debian to take packages selectively out of Sid

Hi all,

I'm trying to master apt's sources.list file. I want to be able to pick
packages selectively out of unstable or testing but not have apt upgrade
my whole system to unstable/testing. (Specifically, I want to install
the Debian packages of OpenOffice.org which appear to be in
Sid/contrib.)

I've reached the stage in my fiddling where apt is expressing a
willingness to add OpenOffice.org but if I do an "apt-get -s upgrade" it
makes it clear that if I were to issue the same command without a "-s"
it would bring my whole system up to "Unstable".

What I've added to sources.list is:

deb ftp://bennet.office.linuxemporium.co.uk/debian sid main
deb ftp://bennet.office.linuxemporium.co.uk/debian sid contrib

Now, is there any way of convincing apt that it should fetch packages
from there *only* if specically asked for them.

TIA,
John
