It's part of util-linux. The manpage has some interesting options in
amongst the usual date-formatting suspects:

       %H     Name of current Holyday, if any

       %X     Number of days remaining until X-Day. (Not valid if  the  SubGe-
              nius options are not compiled in.)

       %{

       %}     Used  to  enclose the part of the string which is to be replaced
              with the words "St. Tib's Day" if the current day is  St.  Tib's
              Day.

       %.     Try it and see.

(%. prints one of a number of bizarre exclamations, including SubGenius ones
if PRAISE_BOB is #defined at compile time.)

The holyday of Mungday just passed (the 4th Jan).
