Would you drive a F1 in Central London? Asking for trouble.
hdparm and gkrell should be in the Suse CDs, hdparm has to be
run from the console, gkrellm from either the cli or the gui.
I do remenber somebody with a laptop and the last InstallFest at Tushar's
place had some problem with the cdrw and Suse.
It was fixed by swapping the modules and passing the correct one with
lilo.
About the 8 appearances of the dvd drive, it doesn't sound right.
Type lsmod at the shell and mail the results.
