I like the sound at the beginning too.

I wanted Knoppix to save its setting between installs -
for instance my modem configuration.
Steve did discuss how to do this on Saturday.
If you could save settings to compact flash, you could
have a nice kiosk-type solution.
ie. it boots from an internally mounted CD-ROM, but can save some
setting for you. Or something like that.
