Why would you want to do that?

vi is both more memory-hungry than xemacs, and larger. I dealt with
memory consumption in <87znu9bthj.fsf at amaterasu.srvr.nix>; as for
the size, well:

-rwxr-xr-x    1 root     root      2073192 Dec  8  2002 /bin/vim
-rwxr-xr-x    1 root     root      1714384 May 31 23:06 /usr/bin/xemacs-21.4.13

Obviously, the editor of choice for rescue disks is therefore xemacs. ;P
