Hello all,
I was recently looking through the tat they sell in Price&Co. in Shepherd's
Bush when I (for once) stumbled across something that looked like a bargain.
A HP SureStore DAT24 tape drive. It was just the drive, no cables, manual
etc. I asked how much it was and the chap said £10 so I bought it, thinking
it must be worth more than that. If it works, it's certainly worth it to me
as I've got about 20GB of (legal) mp3's that need backing up!
So, two questions really:
Is this the bargain I think it is?
Can anyone recommend a cheap (and I mean *cheap*) SCSI card that would be
suitable for getting this thing up and running? I admit that I know
absolutely nothing about SCSI hardware.
Hopefully this isn't too off topic. It will end up in a Linux box should it
work :)
Cheers,
