yeah - I know that now.
But then I was a naive newbie type person, just trying out Linux.
And then I lived out in the sticks, so I couldn't nip to TCR.
I made the mistake of asking the people in Dixons! (I told you I was naive)
And there were fixes for some winmodems, but not mine (I tried).

If I were in the same situation now, I might ask this group - though I'd
probably get shot down in flames...
