As if to prove my point, Sun have now explicitly stated that Java won't
be acquiring macros any time soon, at least in part as a deliberate
decision to dumb the language down. Understandable from a business
perspective, perhaps, but the concept of deliberately dumbing something
down (i.e., not just making the common things easy, but making the complex
things impossible) doesn't sit well with me, to say the least!
