[Gllug] usb dvd writer

hiya

about to buy a dvd-writer with usb connection

had a look through
http://www.qbik.ch/usb/devices/showdevcat.php?id=11
but they didn't list any dvd writers AT ALL :(

the reason why i'm buying one with a usb connection is that it's going to be
connected to a backup-server (linux 2.4.x), without IDE-interface, and
finding a EXTERNAL scsi dvd writer seems easier said than done

so, can i get a usb dvd-writer working in linux, at all?
if, which one should i look at?

if not, where can i find an alternative?
