The progress of Linux has little effect on software piracy (and none at
all on file sharing).  Even if every computer in the world were using
Linux, people would still be selling commercial software to run on top
of it and others would be busy pirating it.

What was this supposed to achieve?  Do you think this oration will turn
its few hundred subscribers into a zealous army, setting right the
wrongs of the world?  Do you think the warez merchants and mp3 sharers
are going to listen to a mob of angry men with beards?

To me it seems more like self-serving windbaggery and a waste of our
time.  This is a Linux User Group, a place for sensible questions,
useful answers and informed debate, none of which you have provided.
