[Gllug] X - .mp3 problem

Hi List,

Recently, my friend installed RH8.0 on his
machine with Win 2k and Win 98.
The only problem he's facing is that the
X media player doesnt play .mp3 songs

We re-installed all the 'sound 'n video'
packages and nothing helped us in sorting 
out the problem.

Any help would be appreciated.
