I remember being tortured by Rational Rose and some of their other stuff for
some time.  I survived.  Just.  I remember leaving my high-end desktop
overnight waiting for the screen to redraw after a single simple operation.
Let's just say it didn't scale well.  This was around 1998 and on MS
Windows.  I hope it's improved since.  (Rational ClearCase, on the other
hand, is an excellent product - highly recommended if you don't mind
commercial software)
