[Gllug] ide-scsi and cdrecord

Morning

I have problems blanking CDRs with cdrecord. Although I have scsi emulation and scsi cd-rom support in the kernel as modules, I can't get cdrecord to work without using the ATAPI layer, and thought perhaps this was the problem, given that cdrecord warns me the ATAPI code is pre-alpha.

"ide-scsi=hdc" is one of the kernel parameters - I thought it turned scsi emulation on?

Thanks for your help,
Tom SW
