Actually there are two types of formatting that HTML allows that are
genuinely useful.  Tables can be really really handy.  (Before you say
"use text", think about the average sales person doing that...)  Of
course Outlook barely handles tables in its message composition
window, making that feature pretty useless.

The other is images.  Yes, you can attach them, but it's a hell of a
lot easier to just copy and paste...
