little things ...

the clock is handy (I miss less meetings)

so is the 'start button' I don't ahve to find a spare bit of desktop to 
click on

and while I mostly alt-tab between windows - sometimes I loose things 
that way.

in the end I find those things more important than a small amount more 
speed.
