If you want to keep the Windows boot menu you'll need to create a boot
floppy for the Red Hat installation then reboot with it. Next mount your
floppy drive and create a linux.bin file for Windows with:

dd if=/dev/hda1 bs=512 count=1 of=/mnt/floppy/linux.bin

Reboot into XP and edit your C:\boot.ini file by adding:

C:\linux.bin = "Red Hat Linux"

The Windows boot menu should now have a Red Hat Linux option.
