Thanks.  That is pretty much what I am doing at the moment without the
$ENV{UNIQUE_ID} but with a time() in there.

Sorry if my Curly brackets look like pipes, They seem to be coming out
like that after my laptop fscked after it had a power faliure (again,
dodgy power connector).
