Hi all,
My father's Acorn A3020 seems to have turned up its toes and died. True
to form he hasn't backed up his HDD in a long time and would quite like
his data back. AFAICS, the fault is not the HDD - the machine crashes
within a few moments of powering on, even without accessing the HDD,
(The OS is in ROM.)
I believe it should be possible to copy off the data using a Linux box
and the ADFS module, but the drive is a 2.5" one and AFAICS has only a
ribbon cable going to it - no separate power lead. Does anyone know if
you can get adapters to connect 2.5" drives inside a normal PC?
TIA,
John
