The other two are excellent. There are some more. MirBSD is a slightly
different version of OpenBSD which supports ISDN. Used it. Very
nice...

ISDN and PF(4) works very well. This project is run by a Thorsten
Glaser who works at Germany's largest telco/ISP, Deutsche Telekom AG.

NetBSD is where OpenBSD comes from. Easier to configure a KDE
3.2/Gnome/Windowmaker desktop with NetBSD - marginally. Best used for
servers and firewalls with IPF although OpenBSD is thought to be better
for this with PF(4). The OpenBSD installation system is crackin.
NetBSD can be a bit strange to install. No need to say anything about
FreeBSD. NetBSD's update and pkg_add installation system is superb. A
doddle to work with.

Some people prefer one to the other. Bit like the crowd who prefer
IP op to Smoothwall or Shorewall. There are obviously other advantages
and disadvantages of one version of BSD over another one. Similar
things happen with GNU/Linux :)

Regards

Richard
