Additionally, and this is perhaps more a concern for CD-R and CD-RW
media because they're less robust, often the disc will still be
spinning: if you force an eject it may still be spinning at quite a rate
when the read surface hits the drawer's surface. I have seen, although
only once it's true, a disc destroyed as the resulting scratches render
it unreadable.
