[Gllug] emerge

Hi,
after etc-update and restoring old /etc files, emerge doesn't work
anymore.

albert etc # emerge cgoban2
!!! ARCH is not set... Are you missing the /etc/make.profile symlink?
!!! Is the symlink correct? Is your portage tree complete?

Is there an easy way to fix this?
