Does it really matter when there are so many people unable (or unwilling)
to read any notice? I have even seen people unload a trolley into multiple
baskets, stand in line holding one each, then get them included in the same
till receipt. I watched someone last week who was surprised that she could
not pay by cheque or credit card at the cash only till, (and she did not
have enough cash), complained that she might have to queue again at another
checkout, and expected the cashiers to take the payment via another till to
cover the bill.
