[Gllug] Configuring INN as a local news server

I set up INN2 on a Debian machine to use on our Intranet as a news 
server.  I thought I'd got it all setup properly until I got back from 
holiday this week and discovered that it has expired all the articles 
that have been posted to it.

I have since had a look in /etc/news/expire.ctl and read the expire man 
page but I don't understand how to stop INN from expiring locally posted 
articles.

Could anyone give me any pointers?
