[Gllug] VACANCY - General IT - West London

Folks,

I am writing on behalf of a client in West London (Harrow) who is in 
need of some occasional IT support. My firm specializes in software 
development and we are based in the US, but we have taken over the care 
of most of their IT needs via VPN and whatnot. Currently, we are looking 
for someone who can be on call between about 8am and 1pm GMT to account 
for the time difference. Things are more or less sorted out, so the 
total amount of monthly work would be less than 10 to 15 hours.

The primary duties of this position would be occasional assistance with 
Samba configuration (maintaining a samba domain controller with multiple 
versions of windows), Windows client support and general help desk stuff 
as it comes up. Nothing too difficult, but this client has been burned 
several times by incompetent IT services firms. We much prefer to hire 
an individual or (very) small shop for this work. Expect a lot of 
difficult technical questions for any interviews granted as we need to 
make sure we have the right person. Additional work and a more permanent 
position are both possibilities.

Rates are negotiable and commensurate with experience. Please let me
