I'm sure your article is technically sound, but it brought a wry smile to 
my face anyway.  If I wrote a "tip list" for people new to Linux it would 
be (in part):

* Don't use reiserfs
* Don't use devfs
* Don't use software RAID, especially don't use software RAID on your boot 
partition

Aren't people odd things? :)
