First of all, get it working with ssh - since scp uses ssh for the actual
network stuff, and ssh is easier to work with :-)  Try using ssh -v to get
loads of info about the attempts to authenticate.

Beware of permissions - ssh can be quite picky about making sure your
private key is really private.  My authorized_keys file has permissions 600

Otherwise, post the output of ssh -v here, stripping out any sensitive stuff
first...
