UW-Imap also supports shared folders. Rating the three for ease of
setup (easiest to hardest):
1. UW-Imap
2. Courier
3. Cyrus
Rating for the power and flexibility of the shared folder implementation
in each (best to worst):
1. Cyrus
2. Courier
3. UW-Imap
Cyrus has a very flexible acl system that is one of its best features
and can be controlled entirely through the IMAP client. UW-Imap has a
very clunky and limited implementation that has to be set up by the
server administrator and requires proper group membership and
permissions to be set. Courier's implementation is more powerful and
flexible than UW-Imap's but it has the same basic limitation and is
nothing like as good as Cyrus in this respect.

I am now a little wary of bananas.
