kstart was just what the doctor ordered. I can now write scripts to call
groups of applications, helping create more of a 'project environment'
feel. That's why I wanted a scriptable solution rather than just relying
on KDE saving the desktop settings.
For example, I normally run xmms on desktop 4 but I don't necessarily
want to run it as soon as I log in. I see that Mandrake 9.0 already has
a shortcut to xmms called music but I'm going to track that down and
apply some kstart surgery to make it do my bidding ;-)
