yes,

send enough dodgy messages (ones that might get queued for a short 
period) to fill up /. (unless they have /var/mta_dir on another partition)

on alot of systems it is impossible for even root to login if / is full, 
   and some it even makes it impossible to clear the mail backlog (so 
ive heared)
