The Terpstra book is a pretty good read, which will get you going (and
then some). http://www.informit.com/promotions/promotion.asp?promo=1041
has the book available for free download as a PDF, or you can buy the
dead tree edition if you want a handy reference. The Perens open source
series seems to be a growing into a good source of reference materials.
I may just have to buy some of them soon...
