Ah... someone that does audio with Linux! Just out of interest, what's
the current approved method of multiplexing sound on a Linux system?

I've been using esd for years, but I gather that virtually everyone hates
it due to its horrible latencies (apparently). I don't particularly like
the idea of artsd (which seems to me to be just about as bad). Is there
something that people actually like these days that does this?
