[Gllug] Weird networking problem with 2.6 kernel

What ethernet card does this strange machine posess?

I have noticed endless arp request and responses for hosts over my cable modem
on ntl, there have been friend's modems that i 'know' are offline (unplugged
from the wire) that i still see apearing to arp to me.
