Pete,
I asked this earlier in the thread! Can you confirm this approach works?
Will it also work to dd from a standard partition to an lvm lv?
I seek confirmation because of the way you couched your suggestion...
Intonation and ascii mail don't travel too well so I'm making sure. ;)
