[Gllug] Debian useless

Debian hopeless, and now useless Garry.
Is this new rating an improvement?
  Knoppix is based on Debian unstable/testing so when you apt-get you 
are likely to get problems (when compared to using stable). This can be 
dealt with to some extent by altering /etc/apt/sources.list to only get 
stable updates. Or you could use Gnoppix which is based on stable 
Debian.Then you'll probably be complaining that you only get the Gnome 
desktop environment, not KDE.
  FWIW I've never managed to install Debian and get everything working 
(like X for instance), but I recognize that it's my lack of knowledge 
that's the problem, not Debian as a distribution.
  Knoppix uses Red Hat's kudzu hardware detection routine, I believe, so 
it is a good example of the virtues and benefits of open-source and free 
software.
