There are two different commands to do this.

sudo knoppix-installer

or
sudo knx-hdinstall

If you can understand French you might find this page helpful which
highlights
some of the main differences between these two options.
http://archilinux.free.fr/knoppix/installation/knoppix-inst2.html

knx-hdinstall works very well for me, although I have found that
partitioning with a Mandrake 9.0
installation prior to installing Knoppix is the easiest way to set up
partitions to my liking.
i.e. Install Mandrake then overwrite the Mandrake partition with Knoppix.
If anyone gets problems trying to remaster Knoppix using the article in
the April 2004 edition of Linux Magazine then they might like to try the
instructions and downloads from:

http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=19281&group_id=9295
These, with modifications, have worked for me.

Regards,
Mark Preston
