Hi Bruce,
Thanks for suggestion re: deamon mode for nmbd. Have just run nmbd -D and
smbd -D
Will test system shortly by disconnecting cable to eth0.
On subject of deny local login - yours is second suggestion for /bin/false.
Will try out tomorrow.
