Told you so :-)

Seriously though, I asked that as I had experience with early HDAMA
Opteron motherboards. Two BIOS updates cleared problems we had.
And I can tell you that BIOS updates on a 35 node cluster aren't fun.

(These days we might do a cluster-wide update via PXE booting.
At the time we almost had that working.)
