There was an interesting article on LWN this week. Essentially, the
phatbot worm creates a network of compromised machines. Nothing new
there. What is new, though, is that those machines have a value, and
are being actively traded -- apparently it's around $US0.10 to buy
use of a compromised machine for whatever nefarious purposes you
may wish.
