Well, you'd better check /etc/inetd.conf (or /etc/xinetd.conf and
/etc/xinetd.d if xinetd is installed) to see if they are being called
from there.  If they are, you'll have to reconfigure inetd/xinetd not to
call smbd and nmbd before this test will work properly.
