IMVHO, there are alternatives.

(1) You don't have to use your corporate mailing system.  FastMail is
pretty decent, and cheap, for example.

(2) If you are forbidden to use your mailing system of choice during the
office hours, well, that's hard, isn't it?  Your management would
probably be happier anyway, if you'd actually worked instead of wasting
time on mailing lists (my boss is telling me she surely *would* 8-).

(3) If sending bash bytes across the Net is actually is a part of daily
your job, you should realize spamming is not a decent career, and act
accordingly.
