[Gllug] Where is the "Composite" op in Gimp 2.0?

With a layer mask. Put both images as layers in a single image. From
Xach's tutorial, make image 1 the lower layer, and image 2 the upper
layer. Add a layer mask to image 2 (right click on the layer in the
layers dialog, and select it from the menu). Anything you now draw
in that layer acts the same way as the mask in the composite channel
operation (note that the mask is greyscale -- if you use colour, it
will simply take the HSV value of that colour)
