I prefer to use a CD player cleaning disk. It is basically a disk with 
very fine bristls on it. You put in a CD drive and play it. It has 
several tracks on it, the first of which tells you how to use it. By 
playing these tracks the head with the laser lens assembly is moved into 
contact with the bristles and cleaned of dust.
