A RA4100 is our main storage unit at work. Populated with a mix of 18
and 72G drives.

We have two cards for them (monster cards - the size of an AT
motherboard and then some), but only one's installed.

The bright sparks who initially set up the kit realised that it would be
quite hard to do a second fibrechannel loop if the servers only had one
PCI slot in which to put a HBA...

I wonder if the second card could be used as a 'primary' one if I could
find another chassis... then we wouldn't have to do the drive-swapping
dance every time we want more space...

I don't suppose you have any Tachyon HBAs lying around? (cpqfc driver in
Linux, b0rk in 2.6.x but works OK in 2.4).
