When I did the Diploma in Comp.Sci. at Cambridge (apparently the world's
first computing course - not that the syllabus reflected age that
closely) they were still annoyed about the BCS threatening to not
recognise any Cambridge CS degree because of the lack of an ethics
module. Of course, a Cambridge man is supposed to absorb ethics from the
very fabric of their College - which is what the College Praelector
swears has happened when your degree is granted - but I digress.

Anyhow, the CS department had been forced to improvise an Ethics
course. So they got a lawyer, and he gave 24 lectures on Professional
Practice and Ethics. Probably the most interesting lectures in the
course...
