I'd just say that you're measuring MiB, and use 2^20 (1024*1024) bytes
as a MiB.

Then all you need to do is fight off the people who say that calling a
megabyte MiB just because some ass-brained marketing departments abused
the original "MB" designation is giving in and being weak-willed.

Them and the people who say "wtf is MiB when it's at home? Why are you
measuring Will Smith and why are there so many of him?!"
